Anticipatory Guidance

This is something that I don’t do enough of: ANTICIPATORY GUIDANCE.  It falls into the adage: Tell them what you are going to tell them, tell them, tell them what you told them.  One of our main roles as health care providers is to ease pain and suffering AND anxiety.  A great way to do just that is to tell your patients what they should expect while in the emergency department and beyond.
